HP Officejet Pro 276dw Driver Printer

HP Officejet Pro 276dw MFP is in a strange position being Head-to-Head competition for two different Epson printer. Both models editors ‘ Choice-Epson Epson workforce Pro WP-4533 HP printer including Epson PostScript and PCL as WP-4590, but prices like Epson WP-4533. It’s enough to make it the editor’s choice, too, especially if you need a PCL or PostScript.

Speed and Output Quality
Paper handling 276dw’s appears a little short compared to both models of Epson, for not having a multipurpose tray. But it’s the opposite of the match close not only to the Epson printer but for most color laser MFPs in this price range, with a 250-sheet tray and duplex standard. It’s enough input capacity for most micro or small office, but if you need more, you can add a second 250-sheet tray ($79.99) for a total of 500 sheets.

For scanning, 276dw offers legal size, rather than the more usual font size, flatbed, automatic document feeder 50 plus page (ADF). Even better, the ADF can scan in a duplex, with a change at the top of the page when scanned. And with the available for duplex scanning and copying, the copy Menu includes options to allow you to copy the original source to single and double your options to copy one or two sides.

As you might expect, this level of handling paper requires large printers, at 12.4 by 19.5 by 18.1 inches (HWD). Assuming you have the space for it, however, the setup is absolutely typical. For my tests, I am connected to the network using an Ethernet port and install the drivers and software on a Windows Vista system.

Speed and output quality
I timed The 276dw on our Suite of business applications (using hardware and software QualityLogic for time), at 5.9 pages per minute (ppm) are effective. It’s essentially tied with both WP-4590, at 5.7 ppm and WP-4533, at 6.0 ppm. (At this speed, the range of 0.3 ppm is not statistically significant.)

Par-quality graphics translated into quite a good output for any internal business needs, up to and including the PowerPoint handouts. Most people would also consider it good enough for the report to go to the client when it is important to convey a sense of professionalism.

Photos on photo paper qualified as a true photo quality, but at the low end of the range of inkjet MFP, or more or less equivalent to the low end of what you can expect from drugstore prints. This is not much of a problem for the printer is intended for the use of Office, however. The quality especially better than you’ll get with almost all color laser.

Quite simply, the HP Officejet Pro 276dw MFP printer give a lot for the price. A more prominent features include a laser class speed and quality of the text, the handling of paper suitable for printing medium and light with a standard small office, the ability to copy and scan the original source of the two sides, and support for PCL and PostScript. That’s more than enough to make it the editors ‘ Choice. If you are in the market for MFP laser class for micro or small office, the HP Officejet Pro 276dw MFP printer is probably what you want.
